Degrees and Certifications:
Marilyn Walther became the principal of Eisenhower Elementary School in 2012 after serving as the Ben Franklin Elementary School for the 2011-2012 school year. She first joined the Indiana Area School District administrative team as the assistant principal at the Indiana Area Junior High School in 2007. She previously served as principal of a private school serving grades 1-12 and was a math teacher in the Norwin School District for fourteen years. While there, she also served in the roles of Technology Trainer, Middle School Team Leader, and Mathematics Department Chairperson. Prior to entering the field of education, Ms. Walther worked as a Systems Engineer for IBM. She earned a B.S. in Secondary Education with a minor in Mathematics, a Masters degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics and Computer Science, and principal certification at California University of Pennsylvania. Ms. Walther has three daughters and two beautiful granddaughters. She enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and spending time with family and friends.
