Good morning,
The District has received two new inquiries about text messages being sent on behalf of another set of candidates running for the school board. Based on this weekend’s incident, the District did an exhaustive search of our systems and found no data breaches at this time; however, we will continue to monitor the situation and take appropriate action if warranted. We will follow the same protocol regarding this recent concern to make sure no wrongdoing occurred on the part of the District or any of our employees.
Again, please know that the District did not release any email information or cell phone information to any individual or group running for the school board. We take the security of our confidential data seriously, including parent contact information. We do not know where the candidates obtained the information, but are confident that it was not from the school district.
Neither the District nor the sitting School Board has, will, or should endorse any candidate. Doing so would simply be unethical. We wish all the candidates the best in their efforts running for the school board and thank them all for their willingness to serve our community.
I am sorry to have to bother you with this topic once again.
Mr. Michael J. Vuckovich
Superintendent of Schools
