Dear Families,
The District was notified of six (6) positive cases of COVID-19 this past week: two (2) at the Indiana Area Junior High School, three (3) at the Indiana Area High School, and one (1) at Horace Mann Elementary. Five out of the six cases will be attributed to the District’s 10-day rolling average. The Department of Health (DOH) worked with the school nurses and administration and concluded that zero (0) additional students/staff members are required to be quarantined.
To date, we have seen a 97% drop in cases compared to our peak in January (184 active cases on January 20 compared to 5 active cases the week of February 18). I know this pandemic has been difficult for so many of us for a variety of different reasons. I want to personally thank you all again for your patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work through this pandemic.
