Dear Families,
This evening, the Junior High Administration was provided with a video, via the Safe2Say app, of a student in possession of a weapon on school grounds, outside on Chestnut Street. The Junior High Administration contacted the Indiana Borough Police Department (IBPD) upon receiving the tip, and IBPD responded swiftly and accordingly. Although the police did NOT find a real weapon, the student did have in their possession a TOY gun. It is our understanding that this toy gun shoots “orbeez” and looks very similar to an actual weapon.
