Dear Horace Mann parents,
As a precautionary measure due to a reported odor of gas at Horace Mann Elementary School, students and staff were evacuated to East Pike Elementary School while their building was thoroughly inspected.
Thankfully, there was no gas leak and the situation has been resolved. At 10:15 a.m., students and staff were bussed back to Horace Mann to continue their school day.
Thank you to staff at both schools for their quick thinking, flexibility, and their ability to provide learning opportunities for students despite being temporarily displaced. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
