Trained Licensed Crisis Intervention Specialists are available to listen, help you problem solve your crisis and also can provide valuable referrals for further assistance in the areas of: suicide, alcohol and other drugs, mental health, grief and loss, domestic violence, rape or ANY CRISIS in your life. We offer unconditional positive regard toward all of our contacts, respecting the difficulty in your decision to contact us and thanking you for the opportunity to help you.
Where can I get help if I live outside of Armstrong and Indiana County?
Every county in PA has a dedicated crisis line. You may call this hotline and we will be able to provide a number for other crisis lines in the state. An online search may also be used to access services in your area. The National Crisis line is 1-800-273-8255 (TALK).
What other services does the Crisis Hotline offer?
If you are in need of a referral for any crisis and are unsure of what type of services will best fit your needs and any information about the service BEFORE you contact them to call or drop-in to the Crisis Hotline. Hard copies of the information below is available upon request at no cost to you.
- Referral services for: Transportation, Employment and Training, Housing, Money or Income, Counseling or Mental Health Services, Education, Food, Medical Assistance, Health Care Services, Food Assistance, Legal Assistance, Pregnancy or STD's, Protective Services (Domestic Violence, Aging, Children), Veterans Services, Volunteering.
- Support services for: Alcohol or Other Drug Addictions, Bereavement, Family and Parenting, Health and Disabilities, Mental Health and etc.
- Educational information, support, and assistance in conducting an intervention for a family member or friend. Call or walk-in to the Crisis Hotline for help, guidance, and on-going support during the entire process.

The Open Door Crisis Hotline is unable to respond to any e-mail or fax crisis services – please call or walk-in. Be aware confidentiality will be broken when an individual is in need of immediate medical assistance in harming themselves or others and emergency response services (911) will be contacted when the need for medical assistance is necessary.
