Career Readiness

Pennsylvania's economic future depends on having a well-educated and skilled workforce that is prepared to meet the current and projected demands of a global, knowledge-based 21st-century economy.  At Indiana Area School District, it is our goal to ensure that our students will be prepared for meaningful engagement in postsecondary education, in workforce training, in career pathways, and as responsible, involved citizens.

 

Indiana Area School District is pleased to be part of a small pilot led by the PA Department of Education in the area of Career Readiness.  We are working towards aligning all of our efforts, programming, and strategies to make sure our students possess the skills needed to excel in today's society.  This includes not only academic and technical skills but also skills in the area of emotional intelligence and awareness of their own social-emotional well being.
