Background and Due Date
Indiana Area School District is a Phase Three District. As such, our plan is due to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) on March 30, 2022. Every District must complete a new Comprehensive Plan every three years. The goal of the Comprehensive Planning Committee is to meet once a month for about an hour to an hour and a half to review our plan. Planning for continuous improvement of leadership, teaching, and learning is critically important to ensuring that all students have access to a world-class education that prepares them for college, career, and life.
Our hope that this process is not merely one in which we choose compliance over impact. Our hope is that this is a meaningful and collaborative effort between all stakeholders to focus on continuous improvement. Good is the enemy of great. We are blessed to have a wonderful school district, but we can always improve and grow. Our plan will be grounded in evidence-based approaches that can both improve student outcomes and increase return on investment, as resources are spent on programs and practices likely to have a positive impact. Opportunities to create, assess, and adjust throughout the cycle empowers the District to engage all stakeholders in pursuit of a shared vision for student success.
