New Start/End Times for 2019-20 School Year On April 8, 2019, IASD Board of School Directors approved a motion that (1) extends the junior and senior high school days by 5 minutes and (2) delays the start time for the elementary schools beginning with the 2019-2020 school year.
First Day of School & Parent Letters IASD will be mailing home letters on August 8 informing families who their child's teacher is for the 2019-20 school year in grades K-5. Junior High letters will be sent out on August 12, 2019.
Building Discussions, Configurations IASD is working diligently to develop a vision for the elementary schools that places the best interest of our students first and is mindful of the costs associated with building renovations, contraction, and updates. This process will take time to develop a vision and the work has already begun.
Youth and Family Scholarships A limited number of scholarships are available for family members or caregivers of a transition-aged youth or young adult with a disability and high school youth between the ages of 16-21 accompanied by an adult (family member/caregiver).

American Cross Pint-Size Hero Program Ben Franklin and Eisenhower Elementary Schools are proud to be participating in the American Red Cross Pint-Size Hero program, which introduces elementary school students to the importance of blood donation. The program offers our school an activity that is not only fun, but also educational and gives our students a chance to support our community.
Summer School (Credit Advancement) Registration for Summer School 2019 credit advancement courses is now open and will continue through Friday, May 17, 2019.
IJHS Current in 1st Place - FBI-SOS Competition IJHS 6th graders are in first place among schools from across the country in the monthly FBI-SOS National Competition. Students learn to be safe cyber citizens through activities on the FBI-SOS Cyber Surf program.
